The Castelo is in a lovely spot with amazing views. Their breakfast had extensive offerings and dinner was also delicious. We were just a short drive away to wine tourism and we enjoyed the town of Palmela as well. The staff were all lovely and accommodating.

Beautiful property attached to a midieval castle. The property is spacious and very clean. The staff was awesome and food was great. It is a little pricey but I feel it was worth it.

Fabulous converted 15th century monastery/castle with outstanding views over the plains below towards Lisbon. If you ant a quiet room, this can't be beaten and the room price included a very good breakfast. The hotel space is extensive and being attached to the castle makes for a pleasant evening stroll around the grounds to take in the atmosphere and views.

Historic, renovated building with a large room and sweeping views to Setubal and the sea. Very good, quiet restaurant in patio with very friendly personnel. One can walk on the walls of the castle also in the evening, visit the castle church in the morning, and go down to the small beautiful village Palmela for a walk. Ideal for a relaxing stopover when arriving in the afternoon at Lisbon airport and heading for the South. Parking no problem

Staying in an ancient castle was an amazing experience. The staff was wonderful. I decided to have dinner on site and was very glad I did. Join the Pestana Hotel Group by scanning the QRL code at the check-in desk and get 10% off your dinner and future rooms! Very comfortable bed and the view is amazing.

We absolutely loved the property and it’s special, medieval, historic site. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The grounds were beautiful and the room was extremely comfortable. We travelled with an 11 yr old and he was very happy with the proximity of the castle and church right outside of the Pousada. We decided to stay 2 nights and went to a beach in Galapinhos, which was close to Palmela. We took Ubers but many guests drive in as there is complimentary parking onsite.

The Reception from the young lady in charge was exceptional so personal and so welcoming. The facilities are amazing and the site is seepedin history. Truly excellent!!!!

It is a medieval castle nestled on the top of a hill. The tower provides a beautiful 360 degree view . We had dinner there the first evening and it was impeccable in terms of service and quality(I recommend the veal it is delicious). Our breakfast was lovely. The staff are very friendly and professional and they take extra attention to make us feel special. The grounds are magical. The beaches along Setubal are also very close, ie 14-17 euro

It is a very special location the old Castelo (castle) with a totally great view, nice rooms and absolutely friendly and attentive staff. Also concerning dogs they provide a special gift in form of a wooden box with many different and really high-quality treats inside❣️

The included breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious! The room itself was great, with a very high ceiling and a great view of Palmela. By far tho, the best part of our stay was exploring the castle and the chapel just a few steps outside the front door of the hotel.
